Scott Niedermayer — a good B.C. boy as Don Cherry would say — and Team Canada have a gold-medal game on Sunday against Team USA. Should be a good border battle for hockey supremacy. Prediction? Smash-mouth, North American hockey and a Canada victory!

Canadian skip Cheryl Bernard — the very classy Alberta curler who the Los Angeles Times dubbed the sexy Vancougar of the 2010 Olympics — can only close her eyes after missing the final shot in the 11th end of the women's Olympic curling gold-medal game against Sweden on Friday. Sweden stole one in the extra end to win 7-6 and leave Canada with silver.
